Tap Dance

Tap Dance

Tap dance was developed in the United States during the nineteenth century and is popular nowadays in many parts of the world. The name comes from the tapping sound made when the small metal plates on the dancer's shoes touch a hard floor. This lively, rhythmic tapping makes the performer not just a dancer but also a percussive musician.

Our Dance Families Thoughts

  • Thank you so much to you and your staff for helping us mold Taylor into the person she has become. Because of dance, she has gotten great parts as a dancer in theater starting as early as 3rd grade and on. She also played several leads and main characters in several theater productions because she is a triple threat as a singer, actor, and dancer.  You all should be honored for all the lives you've helped mold.
