Appropriate dance clothing, shoes, and a dance bag. We sell new dance shoes right at the studio too! Please check your confirmation email if you are not sure which shoes are needed.
Our trained staff helps with shoe changes and minor bathroom needs. If your dancer is not fully potty trained, we do ask that a designated adult stays in the lobby during class time.
We will let you know if it would be better for you to sit with them or come and get them. Sometimes our younger dancers need to observe before feeling comfortable enough to join in.
Crying is normal for our younger dancers - especially the first month! We all have experience helping young dancers adjust to a class without a parent in the room and we have a few tricks up our sleeves. It is much easier on THEM if you let us take over. Sometimes they just need to observe without the pressure of dancing until they feel comfortable enough to join in on the fun..... sometimes they are crying because another child is crying and they are scared. Please know that we will not force your child away from you and to be prepared to stay in the lobby for a few classes. Our instructors know to communicate any concerns with you during the first month of dance.
It is completely your choice! If you choose to leave and we need to get in touch with you, we will call the number that is given to us at registration. *We ask that if your dancer is not fully potty trained, that you stay during class time*
